Hello, My name is Cecilia Saavedra, I am 25 years old, been with my partner Deibi for about three years. I received an Associate’s degree in Horticulture, Land Systems, and Management- Small Market Farming in February 2017 from Metropolitan Community College. Now I am working on my bachelor’s degree in Environment Earth Science.

I view my education as a patchwork quilt of academic training and practical experience that grows with my every accomplishment. These, collectively, are a representation of who I am as a daughter, girlfriend, student, and life-long learner.

Although I’m a big lover of science and the outdoors, I also enjoy traveling, cooking, learning, reading books, and watching k-dramas ;). I will use this blog as a platform to express a different side of myself and hopefully inspire people and share the things I love to do!

  2. Gardening is something I enjoy trying but always find that I have way too many other interests that put it on the back burner and one thing about gardening is that you have to stay on top of the situation or before you know it you are growing nothing but weeds. I can appreciate the time and dedication that you must put into your endeavor and maybe one of these days gardening will ‘stick’ with me. For now I’ll just keep making my attempts and have a bit of fun in the process. 🙂 Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to see what you grow in the future. Stay safe!

    1. Yes, exactly. And with so many hobbies, its sometimes hard to focus on the garden, but I get a little help from my mom once in a whilexD Thank you very much! I really appreciated kind words. 🙂 and good luck to you too. 😀

  3. Hi, Cecilia!
Thanks for visiting my little blog. Majoring in library science and horticulture is actually an excellent and valuable match. One of my best friends is a librarian and keen amateur horticulturist and is now in an awesome position at one of the premier botanical gardens in the country. Best of luck to you!

You’re very welcome. Thanks for telling me about your friend. I’m going to work twice as hard now, and hopefully I’m able to finish my major in horticulture and library science, within the next 4 years.. Thank you! 😀
