Hey everyone- I finally finished studying/homework for my two favorite classes- Aquaponics and Olericulture
For my aquaponic class- I was able to built my own mini system thanks to Cool Professor Mike. We just finished week 7 of classes. And so far my coleus is doing great and My baby heirloom purple Cherokee tomato plant 😀 Its growing really fast compare to the one I planted in soil. I loveee aquaponics. I got 6 platies fish (live bearers) and one plecostomus( an algae eater)
Here’s a couple of red wriggler cocoons- I was able to see one come out of its cocoons while I observed it under the microscope- Soo cool!!!!
His name is Angus a 2lb tilapia- He’s such an adorable fish.
For my olericulture class- I learned how to make soil blocks- Super easy to make and very affordable.
A couple weeks ago, My partners and I had to built our own coldframe. It took about 4hrs to create. (We never worked with tools) We planted different cool weather seeds (radish, lettuce and turnips) on the soil blocks. Once the seedling grew- we had to transplanted the soil blocks to the coldframe.
I took this picture earlier today and everything looks so big and delicious- Cant wait to harvest those greens. Yummmy~! 🙂
